Curly is a jealous man who enjoys fighting. He has obvious insecurities about size and authority, an example of this would be George, Lennie and Curly's first encounter. He has a shallow marriage, his wife being very flirtatious. Despite his shallow marriage, he respects his wife to a certain extent. There is an extremely likely chance that both Lennie and Curly will engage in a physical confrontation.
